Another incredible demo from you! Does the pedal have trails? Or does it cut off the reverb when you disengage it? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

Love the bright and hopeful major-1 feel to this intro track in contrast to your normal darker, moody stuff. Epic with those vocals! I told myself I wasn't going to watch your demo of this cuz I was convinced I didn't want to buy it but yet here I am...

I was JUST about to get the Mercury X. Two strymon pedals into one with an IR loader seems really hard to beat. I feel that is a big justification for the price. But I saw a comment around here saying that dual reverb discussions haven't been made yet. I'm conflicted whether to go with the Mercury X as I have been planning for so long, pairing it with the LVX, or now opting for this Big Sky mx. Please any help or thoughts would be much appreciated. This would be my first reverb pedal purchase ever.

The dual algorithms and panning and routing options seem way more appealing and useful in a delay pedal than a reverb. Makes me pumped for a timeline Mx, but makes me want to pass on the new Bigsky.

If you close your eyes it sounds like any other typical synth! Amazing!

Great review. I appreciate your skill, talents, and your presentation style. Recently purchased a Mercury X a week ago and love it! The UI is so deep but suprisingly easy to use for anyone who is used to diving deep into reverb plugins in the DAW world. Would love to see a comparison with this one and the newly released Strymon Bigsky MX. The MX has a few features that really peak my interest. Dual engine and IR loading.

Many things you said exactly, were already said by other UA-camrs. Please stop saying "shockingly" by the way, and maybe "robust," you say that in every video it's getting a bit ridiculous. However great job with the scooped mids reverb, you always have super interesting ideas with pedals so I give you credit there. You do something in at least every video that is extremely impressive like that.

That opening track was so good reminded me of moving mountains.

Excellent review. I recently got a Spec Temp, and am thinking about getting another one to pair it with (so I can get those ping-pongy analog delays in front of the plate/Spatium). The Orca is a contender, but I totally agree with you that the Analog or multi-tap would've been better than the Diffused! I'm still not sure what I'll supplement my ST with. Definitely something with wide stereo (also considering the Brig, and....? we shall see). Edit: or maybe I need a Skylar to put after the ST! maybe that's the answer....

This thing sounds amazing, and the demo is really great, as always. This pedal is $679 USD. Not saying it’s not worth the asking price, but $679? Holy sh*t. I love my Strymon Flint and Volante. Expensive, but worth every penny to me. But $679 is just a lot of damn money for most, I would think. This is not even on my wish list at this price. Sorry Strymon. You’ve exceeded my limits. Wishing you continued success.

Very nice video 👍🏼 Forgive my ignorance, but is it an absolute sin to demo without several expensive pedals beforehand, or are those disengaged after the intro? For better or worse, I’d be curious to hear the pedal ‘raw’ just for a minute, or would it just sound terrible?🫨

I can definitely appreciate someone like yourself with your tone expertise and your ear for tone making a video on an affordable piece of gear for tons of people who just cannot afford a QC or a Helix or anything like those premium items. Really awesome sounds from something super affordable for players on a tight budget. Love it. Maybe seek to make more regular content on different affordable units for the many who can’t afford the premium stuff! Would love to see your thoughts on maybe the Ampero stuff or the Headrush Core! 🔥
